Advancing skimmers are designed for use in fast flowing waters, either when used as part of a sweep system alongside an oil response vessel, or in rivers and streams where the flow can be channelled through the skimmer. Fasflo skimmers are constructed of marine grade aluminium and have very few moving parts, so require little maintenance .
