General version USB SIMP 4x8-inch remote controller and 4x4-inch external speaker The compact remote controller and external speaker allows you flexible and efficient installation in a dashboard or a panel, while placing the main unit in an out-of-the-way location. Large LCD with dot-matrix characters The IC-M802 has the capability of up to 24 characters x 9 lines full dot-matrix display. Operating status and setting of information can be seen instantly and clearly. Easy to use Two large Group and Channel dials offer easy channel selection. Buttons and dials are clearly labelled for an ergonomic layout that makes the IC-M802 one of the easiest radios in the market to use. Digital signal processing The latest DSP technology improves both the transmit and receiver performance. The speech compressor, utilizing DSP, increases average talk power. The digital IF filter provides flexible filter settings for narrow band signals like SITOR, FSK, and HF e-mail without having to install an optional filter. 150W (PEP) of powerful output A stable 150W of output power provides reliable long distance communication. The large cooling fan ensures stable internal temperature even during full-power operation. Built-in 2-tone Alarm function A 2-tone alarm (2182kHz) signal can be transmitted simply by the push of the Alarm’ button. A spring loaded cover prevents accidental activation. Automatic antenna tuner, AT-140 An optional automatic tuner, AT-140, easily connects to the IC-M802. When the tuner cannot tune the antenna, the IC-M802 bypasses the tuner and displays a warning on the LCD display.
