Safety
The ZF POD 4000 Series is designed with safety in mind. If the pod drive strikes underwater debris, the aft-facing propellers are protected by the pod gear casing. In the event of hitting a substantial object, the gear casing is designed to shear below the hull, minimizing damage and repair costs.

Comfort and Installation Simplicity
The system uses counter-rotating propellers mounted on large rubber supports, significantly reducing gear noise and vibration for a quiet ride. The thrust is transferred to the stringers, allowing for installation without altering traditional fiberglass lamination processes, and is compatible with aluminum hulls. Maneuverability
Controlled by ZF’s SmartCommand and JMS (Joystick Maneuvering System), the ZF POD ensures safe cruising and easy maneuvering. Each pod rotates independently, optimizing handling and response. The electric motor steering each pod is fitted with sensors for optimal boat handling. The vertical installation provides exceptional stability when turning.
