TDS TEAK SEALER AND PROTECTOR is a water-based, polymer infused liquid that when applied to new or freshly cleaned/restored teak penetrates into the grain and forms a long lasting sub-surface barrier helping to slow oxidation (“graying”) and prevent deep-grain soiling from soot, airborne pollutants, food, beverage and lotion spills. Soiling will be kept at the surface and can be easily cleaned with a mild boat soap, or for tougher dirt, use our ECO 100/300 teak cleaners. When used on new or freshly cleaned teak, TDS TEAK SEALER AND PROTECTOR keeps your teak looking great for months! PACKAGING: 0.9 liter & 3.8 liter Single component COLOUR: Transparent SPREADING RATE: 15 to 20 m2 per liter SHELF LIFE & STORAGE: Stored in a dry area at temperatures between 0°C - 26°C (32°-80° F) in the provided plastic cases, the Teaksealer & Promotor has a shelf life of twenty four / 24 months from the date of production. Note! Product date code on packaging is batch code and date of manufacture. HANDLING SUGGESTIONS: 1. ) Read and follow instructions printed on the packaging. 2. ) Thoroughly clean teak surfaces of any dirt or oil before applying Sealer. Rinse deck thoroughly and allow to completely air dry, which can vary with conditions. Note: product will lock in moisture if applied prior to drying which may cause mold. 3. ) Never use Cleaners that contain Acids to clean your teak surface before applying the Teaksealer. 2. ) Improves the non-slip properties of the teak. 3. ) Prevents graying for months. 5. ) Long lasting, up to 3 to 4 months in Mediterranean areas. Longer during winter time. Up to 3 months in tropical climates. 6. ) Prevents dirt and most liquids from penetrating the wood grain. 7. ) A regular cleaning with a pH neutral boat-soap should be adequate. TEAK SEALER AND PROTECTOR APPLICATION: 1.) Temperature must be between 10 and 35 degrees C. Do not apply during midday sun. Recommended time is before 10 am or after 2 pm. 2.) Apply with a brush or lint-free roller, microfiber or a mop/cotton cloth. 3.) Apply with the grain and add pressure to assist product into grain. 4.) 2 coats are required. Wait at least 2 hours before recoating. First coat must be touch dry and tack-free. Recoating should be done promptly before deck accumulates dust and dirt. 5.)
