Product catalog summary
Overview: Wooldridge Boats offers a range of high-performance boats, particularly the Sportjet models, designed for versatility and power. These boats are ideal for navigating tight spaces and backcountry waters, especially in regions like Alaska.
Specifications: The Sportjet models come in two sizes: 17' and 20'. Both feature a beam of 94", side height of 28", and a bottom width of 72". The hull is reinforced with .350" aluminum for impact protection. The 17' model weighs 1895 lbs (open) and 1970 lbs (ws), while the 20' model weighs 2095 lbs (open) and 2170 lbs (ws). Both models have a fuel capacity of 50 gallons and are powered by a 200HP Mercury Optimax Sportjet engine.
Design and Features: The boats are equipped with a large two-piece walk-thru windshield, recessed bow, and a forward wing for wave deflection. They include a removable transom access panel for easy maintenance, dual rod storage racks, and a UV-treated vinyl exterior. The interior features include marine carpeted side panels, welded side trays, and lockable dry storage boxes.
Performance Enhancements: Wooldridge has developed a special reverse bucket to improve reverse thrust, available for retrofit on 200 Optimax Sportjets. This enhancement is designed to provide better control and maneuverability, especially when backing off a beach.
Standard Features: The boats meet U.S.C.G. flotation standards and include features such as a limited lifetime hull warranty, aluminum mufflers, a fresh water clean-out attachment, and a built-in under-floor aluminum fuel tank. Additional features include a 1,250 GPH bilge pump, navigation lights, and a backlit fuel gauge.

The Sport with a 200hp Sportjet is a hot rod. It accelerates hard and has a great top end. “The inspiration for this gofast, go-anywhere machine was for our friends in Alaska who want a small boat with lots of power and the ability to get into tight places where they’re not comfortable taking a bigger boat.,” explains Glen Wooldridge. There’s lots of room in this Sport and it has the fuel capacity for getting into the backcountry, with 50 gallons of fuel storage tucked under the floor of this all-welded aluminum boat. And, it is a stout boat. As in all Wooldridge Sportjets the bottom basically has a double hull down the center of the planing surface. That means .350" of aluminum protection against impact damage. Of course there are the many other benefits common with Wooldridge Boats, the large two-piece walk-thru windshield and recessed bow for easy access for folks and bulky gear. There’s a forward walk-around as well. The forward wing provides extra wave isn’t the only attribute that jumps out. This boat has a great reverse, thanks to a special Wooldridge reverse bucket Glen created for the Sportjet (it is available to retro fit 200 Optimax Sportjets). Wooldridge redesigned the bucket (see photos and explanation on back page) to enhance reverse thrust….a big plus when continued on back Wooldridge Sport is a hot rod with Mercury 200hp Optimax Sportjet. It has a beefy bottom, lots of internal structure and loads of room for boaters and their gear. Special Wooldridge bucket enhances reverse thrust (see back page). deflection and that two-piece windshield offers excellent visibility for the driver, sitting or standing. The toe kick along the gunnels means extra security for fishermen when they are working the fishing rod. Another convenience that Wooldridge engineered into this Sportjet powered Sport is the large removable transom access panel. That means easy access for service and maintenance.
