Manual WingCommander XF

Product catalog summary
Warning and Liability: The manual stresses the necessity of reading all instructions and warnings before using WINGit kiteboating products. Users must acknowledge the risks, including potential injuries, and agree to waive claims against the manufacturer.
Safety Instructions: Users should seek professional instruction, be in good physical condition, and use the product only on water. Safety measures include using appropriate kite sizes, avoiding obstacles, and ensuring a 100-meter clearance from people and animals. Kites should be secured when not in use, and all safety mechanisms checked before use.
System Components: The WingCommander system includes flightlines, steering lines, a virtual 5th line for safety, and a depower adjuster, all color-coded for easy identification.
Kite Compatibility and Adjustment: Users must check line lengths for compatibility with other brands and can adjust using a kite line extension set. Instructions for altering safety systems are provided.
Line Adjustment and Kite Construction: Lines are initially equal in length but can be adjusted. Users are referred to the kite manufacturer's manual for detailed kite structure and bridle line setup instructions.
Connecting Kite to WingCommander: The connection process uses a knot-sling principle for secure attachment, which must be done on land.
Adapting WingCommander XF: Instructions are provided for adapting the system to different boat widths, emphasizing land-based connections.
Adaptation to Boat Widths: The WingCommander XF can be adjusted for different boat widths by altering the distance between the tech-unit and handle bar, ensuring equal tension in the lines.
One-Click-Connector and MOB-Safety: The One-Click-Connector ensures secure connection to a boat. MOB-Safety can be activated by pulling the MOB-Leash and reassembled using specific steps.
Depowering Function: Adjusting the distance between the Tech-Unit and handle bar powers and depowers the kite. The BPS System directs kite forces into the boat, relieving the pilot, and must be kept clean for optimal performance.
Connecting WingCommander to the Boat: The WingCommander connects to boats using a Connector Ring, with specific connectors recommended for monohull and catamaran boats. The connection must withstand forces up to 450 kg and allow for 180-degree turns.
Sailing a Kiteboat: Starting the kite requires the WingCommander to be hooked to the boat. Tacking involves a jibe, and relaunching the kite from water should be done cautiously.
Terms of Warranty: WINGit offers a six-month warranty against material or manufacturing faults to the first owner, requiring online registration within seven days of purchase. The warranty excludes damages from misuse, negligence, or unauthorized modifications.
