The IBS Series includes two models: IBXS and IBS. The IBXS has a length of 9 feet (2.74 m) and a beam of 3 feet 11.75 inches (0.91 m), weighing 33 lbs (15 kg) with a tube diameter of 12 inches (0.3 m). It has a maximum payload of 504 lbs (228.6 kg) and a capacity for 3 persons. The IBS model is larger, with a length of 12 feet (3.6 m), a beam of 5 feet 5 inches (1.66 m), and a weight of 108 lbs (49 kg). It features a tube diameter of 17 inches (0.43 m), a maximum payload of 1350 lbs (612 kg), and a capacity for 7 persons.
Both models are designed for durability and toughness, suitable for challenging environments. The IBS series is constructed from highly durable polyurethane, making it nearly bulletproof with multiple chambers and welded-polyurethane fabric. These features make it the preferred choice for Navy SEALs during their Basic Underwater Demolition School (BUDS).
The IBXS model is lightweight at 33 pounds and includes a rucksack for easy transport and rapid deployment. It features a full perimeter rubbing strake, two valves/chambers, and options such as full-length life lines, a rigid floor system, stowage D rings, interior grab lines, and oarlocks. The IBS model, with a seven-person capacity, includes topside grab lines, inboard handles, a skid-resistant tube top surface, and Wing-Thane UV protection. Custom colors are available, with black as the standard.
The IBS series is ideal for use as a marina workboat or for discreet transportation to operational targets, offering reliability and resilience in less than ideal conditions.
