Specifications:
The GP 280 Marine GPS Antenna features multi-color conductors in a shielded, weatherproof jacket. It is available in standard 12-meter and optional 15-meter cable lengths. The antenna provides a position accuracy of 10 meters RMS and a velocity accuracy of 0.1 knots RMS in steady-state. It updates every second continuously and uses the WGS84 datum. Acquisition times are typically less than 150 seconds for a cold start, less than 45 seconds for a warm start, and less than 15 seconds for a hot start. The antenna is equipped with a high-reliability ceramic patch and an LNA gain of 25±2dB with a noise figure of 2.0dB max. It operates at a receiver frequency of 1575.42MHz using a 12-channel all-in-view algorithm.

Communication:
The protocol used is NMEA-0183 with a 4800 baud rate and RS232 signal level. Custom output sentences include GLL and GPGLL, while standard output sentences are GPGSA, GPGSV, GPRMC, GGA, VTG, and ZDA.

Power:
The antenna requires a DC input power of 10-35V with reverse protection and includes an on-board switching mode voltage regulator. Typical power consumption is 1.08 Watts, and it features an EMI filter to reject power line interference.

Physical Construction:
The antenna has dimensions of 112 mm in diameter and 104 mm in height, weighing 834g with the cable. It is constructed from high-impact, corrosion-proof ABS, hermetically sealed, and fully waterproof. It mounts on a pole with a 1"-14 threaded mast.

Environmental Conditions:
The operating temperature range is -20°C to +75°C, and the storage temperature range is -55°C to +90°C. It can withstand humidity levels from 5% to 95% non-condensing.

Connection:
The antenna supports NMEA-0183 output and DC10-35V input power. Pin assignments include input power positive, RS232 signal IN/RX, GPS signal OUT/TX, and input power negative.
