Introduction
Virtual Marine Technology's MissionQuest is a pioneering simulator designed to enhance small boat training for maritime security and defense agencies. It addresses the evolving strategic role of small boats by providing advanced simulation capabilities.

Small Boat Simulation
Simulation has been a key training tool for maritime agencies, but traditional limitations have hindered its application for small boats. MissionQuest overcomes these by offering a tailored simulation environment that meets specific training needs.

MissionQuest Overview
MissionQuest is the first simulator specifically for small boat training, featuring a wave environment that accurately simulates high-performance vessels. It integrates seamlessly with training programs like the US Coast Guard's BOAT and the Canadian Coast Guard's RHIOT.

Benefits
MissionQuest enhances crew competency through frequent and varied training exercises, reducing operational risks by simulating challenging scenarios safely.

virtual marine technology Dramatic improvements to vessel performance and tactical systems have changed the strategic role of small boats. Naval, coast guard and law enforcement agencies increasingly task small boats to complete a growing range of operational objectives. The combination of faster vessels, more sophisticated systems and extended responsibilities has driven fleet operators to reexamine how their boat crews are trained. Small Boat SIMULATION Simulation has been used for decades by maritime security and defense agencies to enhance personnel training. Howeverthe quantity and distribution of crews combined with variations in vessel design and equipment have limited the use of simulation for small boat training. To overcome these limitations and address small boat training requirements VMT developed MissionQuest. MissionQuest is the world's first simulator designed specifically to address the unique requirements of small boat training. The system's wave environment was built from the ground up to simulate high performance vessels in waves and is modularly designed to stimulate real marine equipment. To ensure seamless integration into small boat training programs, VMT's maritime subject matter experts have developed simulation enhanced courseware to address training objectives defined by the United States Coast Guard's Boat Operations and Training (BOAT) program and the Canadian Coast Guard's Rigid Hull Inflatable Operator Training (RHIOT) program. By investing in MissionQuest maritime security and defense agencies are able to accelerate and extend crew competency by delivering training exercises with greater frequency and variety. MissionQuest also mitigates training and operational risk by introducing difficult or dangerous exercises in a safe, simulated environment. virtual marine technology 20 Hallett Cres., PO Box 8282, St. John's, NL CANADA, Al B 3N4
