DRAGONFLY OIL SKIMMER TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION DRAGONFLY OIL SKIMMER Part No WS/0130 Application The Dragonfly unit is a floating weir skimmer capable of recovering many types of oil from the surface of lakes, rivers, harbours, sheltered sea areas and also many industrial localities. The depth of the circular weir submersion is controlled by a float unit situated in the oil (skimmed material) collection trough. A bellows connected between the weir and trough sections facilitates weir movement. The depth of the skim is adjusted by varying the rate of pumping; a higher pumping rate will result in a lower fluid level in the central bowl of the skimmer and a lower weir lip giving a deeper skim.
