Open the catalog to page 4The dual chute system is easy to operate and requires few trained crew members. The VEDC system can be fitted in an open recess, on open deck or into the ship’s side. System features: VIKING’s VEDC is simple to operate and is released simply by pulling on the release lever. The descending sledge carrying the liferafts pulls the chute from the chute box. VIKING systems use Andersen Winches. In situations where every second counts, these lightweight stainless steel winches allow for rapid pull in of the line.
