Product Description
OptiFlow™ 790C is a type of wet used chopped strands (WUCS) made from Advantex® continuous glass strands. These strands are chemically sized with Optiflow™ 790C and chopped into 1/2” lengths. Advantex® glass offers excellent mechanical and electrical properties similar to traditional E-Glass but with a reduced environmental footprint, being boron-free and fluorine-free.

Product Application
The primary application of OptiFlow™ fibers is in reinforcing gypsum wallboards. They are designed for high-feed rate processes in "dry feed" applications.

Mechanical Properties
Advantex® glass has a softening point of 916°C, compared to 850 - 870°C for traditional E-glass.

The product is identified as ADVANTEX® glass fiber and is produced using equipment designed in Imperial Units. Chop lengths are available in 1/4” and 1/2” (6.3 mm and 12.5 mm).

Packaging

Poly bags and bulk cartons are available with varying weights, ranging from 22.7 kg (50 lb) to 1451 kg (3200 lb).
Packaging options include poly bags, bulk cartons, and bulk bags with bottom dump features.

Storage
WUCS products are sealed in polyethylene bags to retain moisture. Full pallets should not be stacked more than two high. The product has a shelf life of 12 months from the date of manufacture and should be used on a first-in, first-out (FIFO) basis.
