UNIFILO® 800

UNIFILO® 800

Product catalog summary
Introduction
UNIFILO® 800 Series continuous filament mats are designed for efficient manufacturing of composite parts using closed mold processes. These mats are made with Advantex® corrosion-resistant E-CR glass by Owens Corning and are bonded with a thermoset binder.

Customization and Compatibility
The mats are customizable with varying strand designs and binder contents to suit specific applications. They are compatible with unsaturated polyester, vinyl ester, acrylic, and epoxy resins, and are suitable for processes like RTM, infusion, and compression molding. Applications include heavy truck, automotive, and industrial parts.

Product Variants and Processing
The U850 product family enhances resin flow in highly filled systems, while the U810 family balances drapability and permeability. The mats offer excellent corrosion resistance compared to standard E-glass, ensuring longer service life.

Product Benefits
UNIFILO® 800 Series mats provide benefits such as conformability, permeability, and ease of handling. They are available worldwide and made to order, with additional widths available upon request.

Storage and Handling
It is recommended to store the mats in a cool, dry area with temperatures between 10°C and 35°C and relative humidity between 35% and 85%. The product should remain in its original packaging until use to prevent condensation. Proper storage ensures no known shelf life, but retesting is advised after three years.

Packaging and Labeling
Each roll is wound on a 102 mm internal diameter cardboard tube and wrapped with transparent stretch film. Labels include product description, code, weight, width, roll number, and manufacture date.

Specifications
Nominal mat weights range from 225 to 900 g/m², with roll widths from 127 to 138 cm. Roll diameters are 55 cm, and pallets vary in size depending on roll width.
