underwater lights limited™ Manufacturers of the Original underwater lights ™ Brand Marine Lighting Products since 1991 The boat must be hauled and in dry area for installation . Ensure cables and connections are NOT exposed to water. These will not be covered under warranty if water damaged. The Marlin is for underwater use only. Test all units purchased before installation. The light must be installed below the waterline 10/20 cms ( 3.9”/7.9”) and flat surface by qualified/approved personnel. Drill 1 x 9mm (3/8”) Hole for cable, feed cable through the hole and mark around the light and three screw holes. Remove the light drill 3 x 3mm (1/8”) on the marked screw holes. Clean marked surface of the hull with some light sand paper. Ensure the entire back of the light is coated in 3M 4200 FC sealant to prevent water ingress. Feed cable through the centre hole and fix the light with the 3 x screws provided. Do not use power tools to tighten screws, hand screw only. Wipe off any excess sealant See below for wiring Marlin with fuse box RED is poz ( + ) BLACK negative ( - ) GREEN/BLUE cathodic protection. Ensure the light is earthed for cathodic protection and check there is continuity to the front face. This will help prevent galvanic corrosion. Warranty will be invalid if the light has not been earthed. WARNING AFTER INSTALLATION Test all units before you place the boat back in the water. Once back in the water, check immediately for leaks. Be aware these may not occur on immediate placement of the boat in the water. Check boat regularly throughout the day. If a leak is found you MUST haul the boat straight away to find the source.
