Chemically Toughened Glass Large and complex glass panels need a different toughening system to the traditional air-cooling method (as used for smaller formats). Sag-bent glass is immersed in a chemical bath where an ion exchange process takes place on the glass’s surface, creating a substantial toughened “skin”. Lamination process uses a range of film layers including Bridgestone EVAsafe® thermoset interlayers. Finished laminated glass products have many benefits: • igh protection from UV and IR (infrared rays) h • ptimum transparency o • xcellent stability throughout extreme temperature ranges e • hydrophobic Perspex Hull Glazing Sag Bent Glass Our new furnace increases our bending capability to 3.2 x 2.5 metres maximum size, double or single curved.
