Rugged systems for subsea surveys and mapping THE DEEP OCEAN TOWED SYSTEMS, available in either 2000m or 6000m versions, are configurable vehicles designed to carry side scan sonars, multi-beam sonars, and sub bottom profilers to produce high resolution images of features and contacts on the ocean bottom. The Deep Tow (6000m) assembly system consists of the deep tow body, 50m tether and termination, and a depressor weight. The tow body accommodates different sensors and optional equipment.
