MONITORING LITE The MONITORING LITE system by TECNOSEAL is designed to monitor constantly the status of the cathodic protection of submerged metal components and devices, and was developed thinking to the need to preserve and monitor the metal parts installed on fiberglass or carbon hulls of small and medium dimensions, where usually a standard monitoring system is not installed. The easy installation of the system makes it the ideal solution for new buildings and for after market installation as well: once the probe is installed and the electric connections are made, the system connects directly to the boat’s main screen by using all protocols of the most common dashboards available on the market. All data and information can be read on the boat’s main screen and also remotely inspected and set by Tecnoseal’s engineering team wherever the boat may be located. With a pure zinc probe as reference and with a maximum number of 3 measurement points, the system allows to monitor the electrochemical potentials to establish if that part is currently and correctly protected against galvanic currents. SYSTEM OPERATION The PURE ZINC PROBE installed in the hull working as reference for reading and analyzing the electrochemical potentials detected on the measurement points (for instance the engine highlighted in green). The MEASURING POINT is physically connected to the MONITORING LITE system by a cable and the electrochemical potential is read at predetermined time intervals, which the system analyzes and transforms into information.
