Echo-6-Network with vocal warnings Depth Display The digital LCD is used for: • Depth display from zero to 800 ft • Setting keel correction (offset) • Setting shallow depth alarm • Setting anchor (deep) alarm • Setting units: Meter or Feet • Any other desired function available in the system, e.g. Heading, Boat Speed etc. Bright yellow LED-pointer around face of display shows also depth at low range Features: q Intelligently produced, vocal Depth Alarm. No nuisance warnings q Vocal Heading Alarm for autopilot or helmsman (only with compass) q Narrow band echo receiver for depth readings at full vessel speed q Multiple displays q Easy installation using the Mono Cable System (CAN-Bus) common to all Tecnautic components q Within hull installation possible Echo-Box-1 (Echo-Box-2 without voice) The Echo-Box contains the depth transceiver and the speech processor. It is plugged into the NMEA-connector of the depth display or any other display in the system. The frequency of the depth transducer can be selected within the EchoBox from 140 to 160 kHz, enabling the use of an already installed transducer instead of the supplied one. The language of the Vocal Alarm can be switched from English to German. The Alarm Speaker is watertight and has the same design as the Depth Display. (115 x 130 mm) Flat display. Installation requires only small hole in the center. The integrated illumination can be adjusted to any value, either for a single display or a group of displays. Flexibility All TECNAUTIC cockpit displays are technically identical. The display differences is only in the printing on the bezel. This allows the choice of function to be shown on any specific display unit. The configuration process, selecting or deselecting available functions, is done using the display push buttons. A similar selection can be made for the sensor type that will be connected to a display unit. For example a wind sensor might be connected to a compass or depth display. Data are exchanged over the CAN-bus. Additions: Every display unit has a sensor input, e.g. for a heading gyro or a wind sensor and an NMEA in- and output, e.g. for the Echo-Box or a GPS. The unused sensor input of the Depth Display may serve e.g. for a log and water temperature sensor. If a Jumbo Display is desired for depth reading, it may be connected via the CANbus.
