Connect CarbMate to a charged battery or 12Vdc source using the cord-set provided. Adjust the ZERO-adjust knob until the central LED of the row of 9 LEDs is indicating. Connect CarbMate’s rubber hoses to the throttle valve inlet ports. Start the engine and bring it to running temperature at the correct idle speed. Set the RESOLUTION knob to the 2 cm Hg position and adjust the butterflies so as to balance the 2 channels. Progressively sharpen the RESOLUTION to 0,5cm Hg while adjusting the butterflies, for a perfect result. 3 cylinders ? Adjust the 3rd cylinder to the second one, and then to the first one (ref.). 4 or 6 cylinders ? Adjust the remaining pair(s) between them, then to the 1st carb. (ref.).
