Jeff Sykes founded his company on a unique and innovative scull design and quickly established a name for design innovation and product quality. Since 1966, Sykes has seen a continuous process of refinement and development which is ongoing. Sykes now offers five different moulds in our single scull fleet. Single sculling is the purest form of rowing and successful single scullers are arguably the best athletes in the sport. Mould 135 is Sykes' lightweight women's boat which saw immediate success on the water in both 2km and 5km racing. Our heavyweight men's boat, Mould 139, has enabled athletes to post consistent times under 7 minutes for a number of seasons. Using our virtual modeling and testing capabilities, along with on water testing, we are confident our newest singles (M137 and M138) will see similar world-class results.
