The warranty will cover necessary repairs for any defect which is caused directly by materials or workmanship. NORMAL WEAR AND DETERIORATION Engine components which wear out at expected intervals during the regular service span of an engine do not constitute a defect, but are merely a result of the engine's normal life span. WARRANTY TRANSFER AND LIMITATIONS The pleasure warranty may be transferred, without charge, to a second pleasure owner and no further. Moreover, the transfer must be made within 30 days from the date of purchase from the original owner. Commercial or rental motors are not eligible for warranty transfer. Repairs will not be covered if the warranty is not transferred prior to repairs being required. SUZUKI EMISSION CONTROL SYSTEM LIMITED WARRANTY American Suzuki Motor Corporation (Suzuki) warrants to the owner of any 2001 and later model year Suzuki Four Stroke Outboard Motor that the Outboard Motor was designed, built, and equipped to conform with all regu- lations of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) applicable at the time of manufacture and that the Outboard Motor is free from defects in materials and workmanship which would cause it to fail to conform with EPA regulations during the emission control system warranty period.
