The device allows connecting marine energy production units under water without taking the generator and the cable to the surface. The next step will be the qualification to international standards of the connector before the dedicated start-up Powersea will start marketing it. Les premiers essais sous-marins du connecteur à forte puissance Powermate (24kV, 250A) dans la rade de Marseille ont été couronnés de succès. Ce connecteur permettra le raccordement d’unités de production d’énergies marines renouvelables sous l’eau, sans remonter la génératrice et le câble à la surface.
