Statorshield™ Technology
This technology prevents water ingress through the shaft seal, avoiding short circuit failures. It uses a sealed diaphragm to separate the rotor and stator, ensuring continued operation until maintenance can be performed.

Innovative Shaft Sealing
The thrusters incorporate ceramic wear ring technology to prevent shaft wear and seal damage, reducing the risk of flooding.

Integral Drive Electronics
All models, except the SPE-380, include built-in drive electronics. They support analogue control and some models offer serial and CAN control options.

Depth Rating and Pressure Compensation
Thrusters are rated for depths up to 3,000 meters, with potential for full ocean depth when electronics are housed separately. Both rotor and stator cavities are pressure compensated.

Brush and HPU Options
The thrusters can also drive HPUs and be adapted for cleaning tools on specific vehicles.

everything remotely possible™ Brushless DC Thrusters Sub-Atlantics new direct drive range of brushless DC thrusters break new ground in thrust, low weight and enhanced reliability. They are currently available in four sizes, each incorporating Sub-Atlantics unique Statorshield™ Technology. Sub-Atlantics unique Statorshield™ system allows the thruster to continue running in the event of a shaft seal failure and subsequent flooding, without damage to the winding or electronic components. Integral electronic drives are oil filled and pressure compensated to 3000 metres / 10,000 feet. Four sizes are available with propeller diameters up to 380mm / 15” and bollard thrusts up to 220 kgf / 485 lbf.
