WALK-THROUGH METAL DETECTOR SIMULATOR Purpose: The simulator is intended for the training of seafarers and employees of port facilities in accordance with the requirements of Chapter VI of the STCW Code (Sections VI/5, VI/6) and the ISPS Code. The simulator can be used for drilling practical skills of usage walk-through metal detector in order to recognize weapons, dangerous substances and devices, during face-to-face classes and for self-training. The simulator is based on a 3D imitator of a walk-through metal detector with a built-in control panel. A student can get acquainted with main parts of the equipment and their descriptions. During the class, the passage of a person through a metal detector is simulated. In case of detection of metal objects, light and sound alarms are triggered. The student has to correctly identify the detection zones. The simulator records the number of found metal objects and made mistakes.
