Compensators
SMD provides a variety of Curvetech™ Compensators designed for subsea oil-filled assemblies that require internal pressurization above ambient levels. These compensators use a roller diaphragm to adjust to ambient pressure changes and are equipped with springs of different rates to maintain internal pressure above the surrounding water. They are constructed from stainless steel for corrosion resistance and are available for full ocean depth operations.

COMPENSATORS SMD offer a wide range of Curvetech™ Compensators suitable for subsea oil-filled assemblies which need to be internally pressurised above ambient. The compensators utilise a roller diaphragm arrangement to transmit ambient changes in pressure. The compensating mechanism is complemented with springs of various rates to ensure the internal pressure remains above that of the surrounding water.
