General Performance
The 8Te SWL Umbilical Winch is typically used for ROV LARS applications. It is designed according to DNV and Lloyds standards and can operate in safe areas or Zone II environments. The winch has a line pull capacity of 12.65Te on the bottom layer and 8Te on the top layer. The winch speed ranges from 28m/min to 60m/min, depending on the layer and available hydraulic power. It operates within a temperature range of -20°C to +45°C and has an umbilical capacity of 3500m for a typical 35mm size.

Deck Mounting
The winch is mounted using four mounting points with two optional orientations. The mount configuration involves a bolted plate welded to the deck. The main lift is supported by a 4-point system to DNV 2.7-3 standards with a sling set.

Dimensions
The winch has the following dimensions: length across the drum is 3612mm, width is 2965mm, and height including fleeting is 3222mm. The drum length between flanges is 2180mm, with a core diameter of 1270mm and a flange diameter of 2200mm.

Drive and Brake
The winch is driven by a hydraulic Bosch Rexroth (Hagglund) system. It features a band type, direct acting brake.

Spooling and Supply
The winch uses a closed-loop hydraulic fleeting carriage for spooling. The maximum supply is 250bar/400LPM, and all fittings are made of stainless steel with quick release couplings.

Control
The winch is controlled via a standalone control console with proportional in/out controls. Remote operation is possible.
