Introduction
This document outlines the software and other changes introduced with the new software versions for the Processor Unit and Beamformer Unit, both updated to SW 2.0.2. The upgrade applies to both single and dual PC systems.

Dual PC Systems
In dual PC systems, the Processor Unit software, known as the SX90 program, manages the menu system, operational modes, features, and presentations. The Beamformer Unit software processes data from the Transceiver Unit before presentation.

Single PC Systems
In single PC systems, the Processor Unit is responsible for all tasks.

Software Changes
The update includes improved receiver detection, enhanced stability, modified scientific output, better noise immunity, and various bug fixes.

Documentation Changes
User manuals have not been updated; the English manuals from January 2010 remain valid and describe the single PC system hardware components. Sonar functionality is the same for both systems.

Software Release Note
Simrad SX90 SW 2.0.2 is recommended for all users to upgrade their sonar systems. For those wishing to switch from a dual PC system to a single PC system, contacting a dealer is advised.

Upgrade Procedure
End users are not allowed to perform the software update themselves. They must contact their local dealer for assistance.
