This year is the 30th anniversary for Simmer Style. It started up as a small local brand on Maui, where the hard charging Simmer founder Malte Simmer built sails with a vision of making the highest performing and most durable sails for Maui conditions, the most demanding conditions around. His brother Klaus joined the quest shortly thereafter as they both committed the Simme r brand name to the ultimate in high performance. This is still our mission: to make the best performing and most durable windsurfing equipment on the planet. We started out making sails and have expanded to masts,...

Barm? T^CjHrxx-aca' Our production methods focus on quality and consistency, rather than trying to make as many boards as possible. This produces a much higher quality product, resulting in a more accurate and consistent shape once the board is removed from the mold. With no need to refinish or cover up any imperfections, we can stay focused on each board's structural integrity throughout the production process. Therefore, Simmer Style boards are by definition semi-custom. Our process, along with the innovative Carbon X principle, produces a board that feels more custom made than production...

The Flywave boards are designed to excel in the best breaks and never limit the rider regardless of how heavy the wave is or how hard the rider charges. The efficiency of the Flywave boards also means you don't have to oversize them to get good performance in lighter winds. The Flywave boards come with Mission front fins and Blacktip rear fins for ultimate control and looseness. The can be tuned towards a drivier feel and even better mobility with the Icon rear fins or...

The Quantums are extremely easy, efficient and all-around wave boards. Loose enough to be quickly whipped around in small waves, fast enough to enable big jumps in any conditions and controllable enough to keep delivering when the wind and the waves get serious. The extra width is a shortcut to better wave sailing for the progressing wave sailor but will also let the expert generate more power and speed from smaller or slower waves. Even in small sizes, the Quantums will carry big sails and still stay loose and efficient which means you will not need and extra board to cover your light wind...

The Mission is our most radical fin, designed primarily for sideshore winds and powerful waves. It has a high degree of sweep and flexibility. It is designed to give the smoothest and most forgiving bottom turn entry but also to store and release power when driving into the top turn. More drive can be added by choosing a bigger front fin. A smaller front fin makes the setup even more forgiving and softens the ride. The 135 mm rear fin is designed for lighter sailors and sails up to 5.0. The 145 mm version is designed for heavier riders and sails up to 5.5. Upsizing the front fin can shift...

THE SIMMER STYLE LEGACY Our quest for the ultimate high performing windsurfing equipment is never ending. Klaus and Malte Simmer set the standard 30 years ago, and they set it high. Back then it was all about making the best wavesails for Ho'okipa, which meant sails with the most radical performance that could handle everything and anything that mother nature could throw at them. Today, 30 years later this "go for it" attitude and legacy of quality is deeply embedded in the Double Wake S Logo. The legacy means that all Simmer Style products are built with highest quality materials and by...
