The SV-HDV Laptop Surface Console is a compact and complete topside control system designed for reliability in the field. It features a High Definition Mini DV Recorder with a 7" active LCD monitor, capable of capturing high-quality 1440 x 800 JPEG images directly from tape. These images can be downloaded to a computer via USB or IEEE 1394 Firewire. The console includes variable light control and audio/video dubbing jacks for recording audio comments. It is portable enough to fit under airline seats and is housed in a rugged case.
