CONCRETE PONTOON TYPE SF1800

CONCRETE PONTOON TYPE SF1800

Product catalog summary
Overview
The SF1800 is an all-concrete pontoon designed by SF Marina, offering high stability and comfort due to its heavy weight and low center of gravity. It is built to withstand harsh Scandinavian climates, including autumn hurricanes and harsh winters. The pontoon is suitable for commercial docks, fishing harbors, and ferry landings, featuring a high freeboard of approximately 1.0 m and excellent wave-dampening characteristics.

Construction and Environmental Impact
The pontoon is constructed from concrete and styrofoam, providing high buoyancy and making it virtually unsinkable. It requires minimal maintenance and has little environmental impact. Standard pontoons are equipped to accommodate electrical and water supply services.

Mooring and Connectivity
Pontoons are typically moored using chains and blocks, but can also be connected to piles. SF Marina's patented connector allows pontoons to be connected longitudinally and at angles without intermediate gangways.

Specifications
  • SF 1850: Lengths of 10, 12, 15, 20, 25, 30 m; Width incl. fender 5.25m; Weight 40.0 to 75.0 tons.
  • SF 1860: Lengths of 10, 12, 15, 20, 25, 30 m; Width incl. fender 6.25m; Weight 48.0 to 84.0 tons.
  • SF 1880: Lengths of 5, 20, 25, 30 m; Width incl. fender 8.25m; Weight 100 to 200 tons.
All models have a height of 1.8m, freeboard of approx. 1.0m, buoyancy of approx. 970kg/m², and use 2 units of W400 connectors per joint with a breaking load of 2x105 tons per joint.

Manufacturing Standards
The pontoons are manufactured according to Swedish Concrete Standards BBK 04, using C40/50 concrete with air content of 6% and water-cement ratio less than 0.4. Reinforcement includes Nps 500, B 500, Ks 600, and styrofoam with a minimum of 80kPa. Cast-in materials are stainless or hot-dipped galvanized steel, and wood fenders are made from pressure-treated pine.

CONCRETE PONTOON TYPE SF1800-1

An all-concrete pontoon from SF MARINA provides the highest possible standard and comfort. The heavy weight makes it extremely stable and low centre of gravity. As a result of the use of high quality materials, coupled with a thorough manufacturing process, the pontoon enjoys a long life-span. The pontoon is built to cope with Scandinavian climate and to withstand the autumn hurricanes and harsh winters. Type SF 1800 can be used universally where the potential of heavy duty pontoon with very high freeboard, approx. 1.0 m. can be utilized, such as commercial docks, fishing harbours, ferrylandings etc. The pontoon also has good wave-dampening characteristics. The all concrete and styrofoam construction of the pontoon relults in a very high degree of buoyancy thus making it virtually unsinkable. It is practically maintenance-free and has little or no impact upon Nature and the Environment. Each standard pontoon is designed to accept electrical and water supply services. Normally, the pontoons would be moored using chains and blocks. As an alternative, they could be connected to piles. With our patented connector the pontoons can be connected longitudinally and at angles without the necessity of intermediate gangways. - SPECIFICATIONS - The pontoon is manufactured in accordance with the Swedish Concrete Standards BBK 04 SF1850 Length: Width: Width: Height: Weight: Freeboard: Buoyancy: Connectors: Breaking load: SF1860 Length: Width: Width: Height: Weight: Freeboard: Buoyancy: Connectors: Breaking load: SF1880 Length: Width: Width: Height: Weight: Freeboard: Buoyancy: Connectors: Breaking load: All-concrete pontoons: Concrete: C40/50.
