With its’ penetrating action, it is effective on wax, oil residues, surface soiling contaminants, and mold spores. In addition, S-90 etches the surface to promote good adhesion for primers and antifoulants while eliminating the need for sanding. Rinse away the residue with clean water. De-Waxing with Etch Apply a thick wet coat by china bristle brush, solvent resistant roller cover 3/8” pile smooth or medium to the surface. Use Scotch-Brite 7447 pad in a circular motion to get enough scratch to the surface before primer or antifoulant. Allow the product to “work” for 3-5 minutes. Rinse away all residues with clean water.
