All SBA beds are manufactured of first class material, design and craftsmanship to meet requirements spe- cific for marine conditions: non-combustibility, eco- nomy of space and weight, durability, easy handling by personnel as well as passengers, and easy care. Proven standard constructions serve as a basis for products, but the final design is often the result of co- operation between the shipowner's architect, the ship- yard and SBA's designers: a tailor-made product for each specific project. The Wall-Mounted Sofa Bed, patent pending, has been designed taking the above in consideration. It is to be mounted to the wall, with no support from the floor. Because of this, the sofa bed can be mounted in pre-fabricated cabins already at the cabin factory. Should the sofa bed be installed in cabins without a reinforced wall, e.g. in refit projects, it can also be sup- ported from the floor. The seat of the sofa bed can be lifted upwards in a sloping position, which makes cleaning below the bed The standard sofa bed, as shown above, has no arm- rests. It can, of course, be furnished with armrests/ gables of varying design.
