Provided by Carmanah's authorized Portuguese distributor, Ahlers Lindley, Carmanah 701 solar power marine lanterns were installed as part of a turn- key solution for aids-to-navigation around Located over an area of approximately 100 meters (328 feet) square, the artificial reef required marker buoys to define a restricted area over the reef's location. Equipment must endure constant jostling from the movement of waves against the buoys and lanterns are constantly exposed to the corrosive elements of salt water spray. The southwest swell found at the installation site, not only creates a more challenging environment for the lanterns but also makes servicing the lanterns a difficult and dangerous task. Carmanah's 701 solar LED marine lanterns provided an ideal solution for this difficult location.
