RS Venture Keel - 1

Purposed designed new deck Building on the outstanding success of the centreboard versions of the RS Venture, the brand new RS Venture Keel takes the stability, safety and seaworthiness of this boat to a new level. The Keel version incorporates a purpose designed new deck with the proven Venture hull. Ultimate stability, space and seaworthiness for training and adventure cruising. ‘Plug in and Play’ Sailability packs are easily fitted & removed, perfect for multi mode sailing. Cruise in safety and comfort The vertical lifting keel has an aluminium fin with 120kg lead bulb, making the boat not only exceptionally stiff and stable, but also self-righting. This is not only ideal for training in exposed environments, it allows cruising in safety and comfort. The keel lifts easily using a removable alloy post and winch, so the boat can be stored ashore or kept afloat on a mooring or pontoon. From safe and secure beginner training, to exploration of remote sailing playgrounds – the RS Venture Keel is strong, capable and performs beautifully. Safe & exciting sailing experience for all The huge cockpit can seat up to eight people and is fully self-draining, so spray or rain water quickly run out through transom tubes, leaving the boat dry and comfortable. The deck design incorporates both wide side decks and secure inner seats, giving a range of options ideal for both nervous beginners and confident experienced sailors. It’s got you covered: Versatile options An optional large opening hatch lid on the aft deck creates access to a huge stowage locker – big enough for all kinds of sailing or camping gear or an outboard motor. The RS Venture Keel rig is the same as used on the centreboard Ventures, with a high boom, furling jib and mainsail slab reefing, giving rapid ability to shorter sail for stronger winds. Both asymmetric gennaker or symmetrical spinnaker options are available, easily launched from the large spinnaker chute under the foredeck. Sailability Packs - Plug in and Play The RS Venture Keel has a whole range of ‘plug in and play’ Sailability Pack options which compliment her self-righting and selfdraining capabilities. These options can be added or removed as required, allowing the same boat to be used for either able bodied or a range of disabled sailing – a significant step forward and huge advantage for many sailing and training centres.
