We wanted to create the perfect boat suitable for both family and training and, after building on the strengths and eliminating the drawbacks of other designs, we’re told we’ve done it! With unbeatable durability, more cockpit space, improved handing and simple rigging it’s easy to see why the it’s taking over as the family and training favourite! The perfect choice for getting the whole family onto the water and having fun. For centres: one boat fits all. Beautiful, easy handling that makes sailing fun for everyone. Learning, teaching, relaxing The stable, well thought out design means that the Quba is incredibly versatile. The wide beam and stable hull inspire confidence and the wide side decks are comfortable (no annoying cleats!) and easy for novices to sit securely. The balanced rig and hull make tacking and gybing easy as does the 2-position mainsheet block which can be moved back if you have a crew. The RS Quba is easily righted from capsize, with the self draining cockpit and built in righting lines assisting quick and safe recovery. Capsizing becomes part of the fun! The Quba sail can be easily reefed around the mast - So easy in fact, it can be done on the water using the unique furling system. The reef-able Sport sail and the larger battened Pro sail both fit on the same spars and many options mean you can change the set-up in an instant, to suit a range of sailors and uses. The aluminium dagger board has replaceable wear plates so it’s stronger and longer lasting than rivals. The tough RS Comptec PE3 construction means the Quba is incredibly stiff and strong. What’s more, it is virtually maintenance free. Light enough to be launched by youngsters and rigged in minutes - More time sailing and less fuss. The Quba can be sailed with just the main as a single-hander, or with a jib for crews - And when there is no wind it can even be rowed! Fun whatever the weather - Memorable times afloat for all levels in all conditions.
