The heater unit consists of a fan and a heat exchanger coil. The coil can be used both for heating or cooling the chamber atmosphere. The heater motor is completely sealed. Environmental conditions such as oxygen level, humidity or pressure will not affect the motor at all. The motor is very dependable, because of its brushless design. There are multiple versions of the heater available: one has an adjustable pre-set fan speed, the other has an externally controllable fan speed. The pre-set version runs on any 24 VDC, 2A power supply. The externally controlled version requires an optional fan speed control unit. The heater is designed to run continuously during diving operations. It is tested under pressure for several hours. The performance of the heater varies because of a range of environmental factors such as: • Chamber pressure • Temperature • Motor speed
