It is especially suitable for use inside smaller hyperbaric/decompression chambers, where space is limited. The unit has a clamp that holds two CO2 adsorbent canisters. It has a built-in electric fan. In case of electric failure it is possible to connect a simple medical breathing mask and use the scrubber as a lung-powered unit.
