  3. Release the button and return the valve handle to the run position before restarting the engine.

It is recommended to install the fuel primer after the primary filter, but it can be located anywhere in the fuel system. The valve handle points with the direction of flow. Rotate valve handle to priming position. 3 Hold down button to run the pump. Once fuel appears at the filter, the lines are primed.
