Product catalog summary
Product Overview:
The RESOLTECH 3050C & 3050CT epoxy adhesive is a high-performance, rubber-toughened adhesive designed for structural bonding with high mechanical resistance (310 kg/cm²) and peel-resistance. It cures at ambient temperature with a 1:1 mixing ratio by volume or 100:80 by weight, suitable for various materials including composites, steel, aluminum, and wood. The adhesive operates effectively in temperatures ranging from -50°C to +80°C, with a maximum service temperature of 140°C. The 3050C is for horizontal applications, while the 3050CT is thixotropic for all conditions.
Physical Properties:
Density at 25°C: Resin 1.18 g/cm³, Hardener 0.96 g/cm³, Mix 1.05 g/cm³.
Visual Aspect: Resin is a yellow viscous liquid, Hardener is a blue viscous liquid.
Viscosity at 25°C: Resin 35,000 mPa.s, Hardener 50,000 mPa.s, Mix 40,000 mPa.s.
Application Instructions:
Mixing Ratio: 1:1 by volume, 100:80 by weight.
Gel Times: 118 min for 100g, 75 min for 250g, 4h in film at 25°C.
Exothermic Peak: 113°C for 100g.
Surface Preparation: Ensure surfaces are clean, dust-free, and degreased. Specific treatments are required for different materials such as sanding for steel, etching for aluminum, and ensuring dryness for porous materials.
Assembly: Maintain parts in contact during curing without excessive clamping. Clean materials before polymerization with acetone or MEK.
Mechanical Properties:
No post-cure required, but elevated temperature post-cure improves properties.
Cure Times: 7 days at 20°C, 48 hours at 40°C, 12 hours at 60°C.
Tensile/Shear Strength: 20N/mm² after 24h at 25°C, 29N/mm² after 7 days at 25°C, 31N/mm² after 7 days at 25°C + 2h at 70°C.
Glass Transition Temperature (TG): 50-55°C after ambient cure, 66°C after 2h at 60°C.
Hardness: Shore D 68.
Packing, Transport & Storage:
Available in various pack sizes from 1.8 kg to 360 kg. Shelf life is at least one year in sealed containers. Store away from heat and cold.
Health & Safety:
Avoid skin contact and wear protective masks. In case of eye contact, rinse with water and seek medical advice. Refer to the Material Safety Data Sheet for detailed safety information.
