3020HP EPOXY FILLER RESOLCOAT 3020 HP is a lightweight epoxy filler formulated to fair and finish laminates and surfaces to a high standard. RESOLCOAT 3020 HP can be applied in thick layers, is easy to sand, water resistant and provides high resistance and durability. RESOLCOAT 3020 HP is suitable for both tooling and structural applications. MIXING RATIO By weight: 100 + 40. By volume: Not available. Hardeners available: 3025 (slow) & 3028 (fast). The resin part should be stirred thoroughly before mixing. WARNING: The mixing ratio must be accurately followed. It is not possible to change the ratio, it would result in lower mechanical properties. The mixture should be thoroughly stirred to ensure full homogeneity. It is important to note that epoxy systems tend to heat up much faster in a pot than as a thin film. It is therefore necessary to only mix the necessary amount usable within the given pot life. Keeping the mixture in flat open containers reduces the risks of exothermic reaction. APPLICATION The standard procedure of working with epoxy systems applies to RESOLCOAT 3020HP. The system can be applied by trowel or squeegie. The surface should be clean, degreased and deglazed. • TOOLING APPLICATIONS Apply RESOLCOAT 3020 HP over a plug structure. It can be applied as a thick layer for CNC machining or sanding. The system is easy to machine. • STRUCTURAL APPLICATIONS RESOLCOAT 3020 HP is suitable for fairing structural laminates such as blades, boats and other applications. The system is particularly suitable foe marine applications as it is waterproof and also contributes to osmosis protection of a laminate. One or more coats of RESOLCOAT 3020 HP should be applied and faired. Final finishing should be carried out using RESOLCOAT 3000 high build surfacer.
