R&M Floor Systems The demands on floors are very high, and they are met in all essential respects with our floor systems. Thus, the floating floor version on board ships is available in form of floor panels and a combined system of screed plates and insulation plates. Apart from their rapid and compact laying, they also meet the requirements of the noise control and fire protection regulations.

Thanks to the A-60 fire classification and excellent soundproofing, this floor system can be used throughout the ship and, as such, satisfies all the demands placed on modern ship flooring. To install, after being laid down, the panels are spot welded. The flooring is then finished with further coating elements. The design of the flooring, with its individual panels, is based on the floating floor A-60 yet with the difference that the insulation below the steel deck layer is less thick. Open the catalog to page 6EPSI® – Screed plate floating insulation The floating floor EPSI® developed by R&M with fire classification A-60 satisfies the most stringent fire insulation requirements and, as such, can be used anywhere on the ship. Unlike traditional concrete fire insulation systems, the EPSI® floor has a very quick cure time of just approx. 24 hours and a quick laying time of 2 – 4 m²/h. In addition, tests have confirmed the system’s very good soundproofing properties.
