With a rated 3 micron retention, these cartridges are able to remove microscopic and visible dirt, chlorine, scale, and many other larger particle contaminants. Aqua-Polish cartridges are available in three standard sizes, AP#5, AP#10 and AP#20. These products are intended to not remove minerals or salts. Incorporating extremely fine Microfiltration and Broad Spectrum Adsorption/ Molecular Sieving, General Ecology's unique "Structured Matrix™" technology, Aqua-Polish cartridges are the most comprehensively effective in their class. General Ecology's advanced "Structured Matrix" technology is intended to remove a broad range of drinking water pollutants, effectively, reliably and economically. The AP#5 and AP#10 cartridges are ideal prefilters for General Ecology's Seagull®IV X-1 and X-2 water purifiers. AP#20 cartridges are sized for Seagull®IV X-6 prefiltration.
