PropprepTechnical Data Sheet Product Line Propprep Typical Uses Propprep is a special metal conditioner designed to provide a chemically conditioned surface prior to painting/applying Propspeed. As a pretreatment for propellers, shafts, struts and rudders prior to application of the Propspeed foul release system. Application Apply Propprep solution liberally by rag or wipes, working over small areas at a time. Do not allow the Propprep solution to dry out. Remove by wiping off thoroughly with a clean rag. To be used before applying the Propspeed Etching Primer. Excellent chemical conditioner that chemically prepares the metal surface. Limitations The surface which has been treated with Propprep should be painted as soon as possible after application (preferably within 4 hours). Propprep should not be used on zinc, cadmium, and magnesium as these are susceptible to chemical attack by acids. Propprep is acidic. Operators should wear gloves, goggles and protective clothing. If splashed onto the skin, wash off with copious amounts of soap and water. If splashed into eyes, wash and flush eye with water for minimum of 15 minutes. In case of ingestion, give patient copious quantities of water or milk. Do not induce vomiting. In all cases seek medical attention promptly. See MSDS for further safety information.
