FixitFast Epoxy Putty Tape Product description FixitFast is a hand-mixable, fast-curing epoxy adhesive-sealant in two-part, concentric tape form that enables strong, permanent repairs to metals, wood, glass, concrete, ceramics and numerous plastics. Any length contains the proper ratio of base to curing agent. When kneaded together to a uniform color, mixing is complete. FixitFast has a 5-minute work life and sets hard in 10 minutes, forming an industrial-strength polymer compound for repairs around the house or workshop. Basic uses FixitFast is useful for temporarily plugging active leaks in drums, oil and water tanks. In the workshop use FixitFast to restore torn sheet metal, mold missing parts, fill rough weld seams prior to painting, form drilling jigs for odd-shaped work pieces, and to attach machine tags. Around the house repair outside railings and door molding, seal leaks in PVC and ABS pipe, form insulated handles for barbecue tools, plug seams and mend holes in ductwork, aluminum gutters, leaky buckets and lawn mower frames. FixitFast cures underwater. Use it to seal rowboat seams and make emergency boat deck and hull repairs. Benefits • No measuring or mixing tools needed. • No mess to clean up. 3.5 oz (100 g) epoxy putty tape packed in a plastic box, 24 boxes per case. Application Surface preparation: To achieve optimum adhesion, surfaces should be cleaned free of grease or dirt. Scuffing or sanding the surface prior to cleaning helps ensure a good bond. Mixing and application: Wear impermeable gloves when mixing or handling uncured product. Twist or cut off required amount, then mix by kneading, twisting and folding with gloved fingers to a uniform color. If mixing is difficult, warm FixitFast to room temperature or slightly above. Apply to the surface to be repaired within 2 minutes of mixing. Force into any cracks or holes to be filled. Shape repair and strike off excess material before hardening begins, preferably with a tool moistened with clean water. For smooth appearance of the cured compound, hand rub with water or a damp cloth prior to hardening. When applying to a damp, wet or slowly leaking area, work the material forcefully into the surface and apply pressure until adhesion begins to take effect. After 20 to 30 minutes FixitFast will begin to form a tenacious bond. After 1 hour the repair can be painted, filed, sanded, sawed, drilled and tapped. Shelf life: One year from date of shipment Health precautions • Solvent-resistant. • No shrinkage. • Solvent- and VOC-free. • Withstands temperature extremes. Application limitations • Does not adhere to polyethylene, polypropylene or PTFE. • Not for structural applications. Color Base color is White; curing agent is Black; cured color is Gray.
