JibFlex® flexible swivel arm for the modular design came about during an offshore project in the North Sea. Welding consoles weighing 150 kg each had to be transported from a ship onto a platform of a wind power plant. From there, the consoles had to be carried through a door and then lowered through a narrow hatch inside the wind power plant. A number of conventional crane alternatives were considered for the job but it turned out that there was no existing solution on the market that could handle the task. This led to the idea of constructing a flexible arm that could perform all lifting procedures...
