95 Fiberglass Dewaxer

Product catalog summary
Product Overview: The 95 Fiberglass Dewaxer is a solvent blend designed to remove mold release, grease, and wax from fiberglass surfaces before painting. It is essential for preparing bare fiberglass, regardless of the boat's age, to ensure proper paint adhesion.
Specifications: The product covers approximately 400 square feet per gallon, though coverage may vary based on the number of applications. It is important not to use the product sparingly to ensure effective cleaning.
Application Procedure: The surface should be washed liberally with clean rags soaked in the Dewaxer, changing rags frequently to avoid spreading contaminants. This step should be done before sanding to prevent wax from embedding into the gelcoat and to avoid clogging sandpaper. After sanding, the surface should be washed again to remove any sanding residue.
Recommendations: It is recommended to sand the surface or apply a coat of Bottom Prep 6999 Sandless Primer after using the Dewaxer and before painting to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
