what makes it different The enviable reputation of the Orkney Dory for hull strength and safety owes much to construction techniques painstakingly developed over many years. A tough fibreglass ‘girder frame’ is bonded into the hull during laminating process and the hull and deck mouldings are then ‘wet bonded’ together whilst still in their moulds. Closed cell polyurethene is injected into the gunwale and outer cavities leaving the centre section clear to provide condensation drainage.
