Product catalog summary
Overview
The Q-Boat 1550T is a remotely-operated instrumentation boat designed to enhance the efficiency of Acoustic Doppler Current Profiling (ADCP) surveys in various water bodies. It is ideal for reducing survey time, ensuring safety in challenging conditions, and accessing difficult locations.

Portability and Convenience
Constructed with lightweight polyethylene hulls and a collapsible folding crossbar, the Q-Boat 1550T is easily portable by a single operator. The boat's design allows for simple transportation and deployment, requiring only the unfolding of outriggers to begin measurements.

Operational Features
The Q-Boat 1550T features a dual-motor propulsion system controlled by a 2.4GHz remote transmitter, providing robust maneuverability without the need for rudders. It can reach speeds up to 2.3m/s and operate effectively at speeds as low as 30cm/s.

Efficiency in Measurement
Eliminating the need for tether lines or bridge access, the Q-Boat 1550T allows for flexible site selection based on optimal measurement conditions.

Q-Boat 1550T M9Spec Sheet-1

Q-Boat 1550T Remotely-Operated Instrumentation boat Maximize ADCP Survey Efficiency The Oceanscience Q-Boats are the number one choice for reliable remotely-controlled acoustic Doppler current profiling in streams, rivers, lakes and coastal waters all over the world. Whether you need to reduce your survey time, keep people safe during difficult conditions, or access hard to reach locations, there is a Q-Boat to suit your survey and your budget. Portability Convenience, and Reliability , The Oceanscience Q-Boat 1550T is specially designed for use with the Sontek RiverSurveyor M9 or S5 ADP. The use of lightweight and resilient polyethylene hulls and a collapsible folding crossbar allows the boat to be convenient for a single operator. Transportation to and from the deployment site is easy, just fold the outriggers under the main hull and pick up with one hand. Simply unfold the outriggers and place the boat in the water to start your measurement process. Q-Boat 1550T The Q-Boat 1550T is easy to operate. The innovative propulsion system uses two motors, one in each outrigger; an advanced 2.4GHz remote control transmitter differentially adjusts the two motor throttles to steer the boat. The result is a robust and highly manouverable boat with no delicate rudder or steering linkages. The Q-Boat 1550T can attain a 2.3m/s (7.5fps) top speed using the standard battery pack, and the remote control transmitter can be adjusted to allow effective profiling at speeds as low as 30cm/s (1.0fps). The Q-Boat 1550T provides a total solution to river discharge measurement. Reduce Measurement Preparation Time As the Q-Boat 1550T does not need any tether line or bridge for deployment, survey sites can be selected based on where the best measurement can be made and not determined by the available bridge access. Instead of setting up a temporary tag line for each measurement, just take the Q-Boat 1550T from site to site! www.oceanscience.com
