Open the catalog to page 2VariCap system 1 Description The VariCAP system is a set of RGB‐illuminated capacitive switches to control basic functions like ON/OFF. The system communicates with a PLC using MOD‐bus. The PLC reads the status of the switch (stored in a register) and then performs the programmed action. The PLC sends the color of the illumination in return. The color can be set for the Text, Status‐LED and switch indicidually. The switches can be configured in zones, which enables group dimming. This can be usefull when placing the switches on different angle surfaces or group them for certain functions....

The functions of these switches (switch action and backlit illumination) is controlled by a PLC using MOD‐bus protocol. The PLC is the master, the switches just report pressed or not. There is an execption for the keyboard lift cassettes and the relay boards though. The VC system consists of several parts: Part Description 1. VariCap dataconverter communicates to NControl and PLC by MOD‐BUS 2. VariCap Booster reads the switches, controls RGB backlit and switches the relays...

In the picture above you can see the grid arangement. Of coarse you can mix the boards. Each switch has 3 separate illuminated sections, the touch sensor, the status LED and the text area. All 3 sections can be assigned a color preset and brightness level. The preset information is stored in the booster to which the sensor is connected. The sensor can be used on 4 to 6mm thick glass. The sensor is autotuning upon startup and after 20 seconds. The sensor area (with light...

This is the intermediar between the PLC/NControl and pn 0901715 the VC system. Only 1 piece is needed. 2 Qty x VC board Cap switches are available in boards with 1,2, 3 and 4 switches. Each board is one channel on the pn's: booster. Keep in mind when configuring the layout to use grouped switches to keep the qty of boosters small. 8x1 switch = one booster, 8x4 switches = one booster too. 0901717 (1 switch) The...
