DECS -How The Industry’s Best Exhaust Treatment System Works 3 DECS, or Diesel Exhaust Cleaning System, is based on DCL International’s revolutionary MARINE-X™ system. 1. Exhaust gas is routed through a catalytic coated ceramic filter. 2. Soot is trapped as it passes from the generator set’s exhaust system. 3. At a conservatively rated exhaust gas temperature of 300oC, soot burns off and is converted into harmless CO2. DECS passive regeneration process requires no additional equipment or regeneration time.
